Lawrence Kinney and wife artist Mary Ouimette-Kinney were invited by the International Institute of the U.S. State Department to speak about their art to visitors from the country of Angola. Mr. António Ana, Angola's most decorated sculptor, and Mr. Patrício Cipriano, an art critic and philosopher plan to open an art school/gallery in Angola, as part of a political movement called Etonism, or tolerant reasoning. A formal visit was held on Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Kinney's home gallery before continuing at Artpark (Lewiston, NY), where Lawrence Kinney's sculpture has been permanently installed.
